Ongoing Supervision
Licensed operators remain subject to regulatory supervision throughout the term of their licence. The Authority monitors compliance with licence conditions and regulatory standards on an ongoing basis.
◆ The Authority’s supervisory framework is designed to ensure that licensed operators maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements after licence issuance. Supervision is risk-based and proportionate to the nature of the licensed activities.
Compliance Monitoring
The Authority monitors licensed operations through a combination of periodic reporting requirements, information requests, and review of operational data. Licensees are required to submit compliance reports at prescribed intervals covering areas including anti-money laundering controls, responsible gaming measures, and financial performance.
The Authority may conduct targeted reviews where indicators suggest potential non-compliance or where the risk profile of a licensed operation warrants additional scrutiny.
Notification Requirements
Licensees must notify the Authority of material changes affecting their licensed operations. Material changes include, but are not limited to:
- Changes to ownership structure or beneficial ownership
- Appointment or departure of directors, key persons, or compliance officers
- Changes to operational domains used in connection with licensed activities
- Material changes to technical infrastructure or platform providers
- Any event that may affect the licensee’s ability to meet its regulatory obligations
Supervisory Tools
The Authority employs a range of supervisory tools to assess and maintain compliance across the licensed population:
- Information requests
- Periodic compliance reporting
- Review of operational data
- Formal regulatory engagement with the licensee
Where deficiencies are identified, the Authority may issue directions requiring corrective action within a specified timeframe. Failure to address identified deficiencies may result in escalation to formal enforcement proceedings.
Escalation & Enforcement
Where supervision identifies non-compliance that is not remediated within the specified timeframe, or where the nature of the breach is sufficiently serious, the Authority may escalate the matter to formal enforcement action. Enforcement measures may include:
- Imposition of additional licence conditions
- Licence suspension
- Licence revocation
The Authority’s enforcement powers and procedures are set out in the Regulatory Enforcement Policy.
